Here is another interesting blog that I have been reading with some good suggestions and comments from readers. It focuses on planning for the future as the disease progressses. See it here. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/comments/MY01270_comments#post

Here is a great blog dealing with caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease. It contiains many insightful comments from bloggers in this situation. I read all of the comments and they all hit home in one way or another. Check it out at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/comments/MY00772_comments. Comments are below the article.

I have found this site to be useful in learning about all aspects of Alzheimer’s disease from the definition, symptoms and causes to treatment, drugs, and support. In addition there is an expert blog tab at the top of the homepage. There are some excellent blogs to read here: http://http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/alzheimers-disease/DS00161

Well, here is my first post for my Social Networking & Media:Web 2.0 Tools class. My plan is to do some research on Alzheimer’s disease and post some information that I learn that will hopefully benefit someone affected by this disease. My father is currently suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and I hope to learn what I can to help him and my family through this difficult time. In addition, I plan to use this blog to discuss useful teaching practices, share ideas, and post links to websites that I find useful.
